Quick view on Kathy: Engaging, positive, very smart, and
most of all genuinely caring.
Natural talents
Growing up in Appleton, Wisconsin, as the oldest of four children, Kathy
was blessed to have parents that gave her a solid foundation. Kathy’s
natural talents for building relationships, analyzing and understanding
other people’s goals, resolving problems, and negotiating through
to successful completion were evident at an early age. As an active Girl
Scout through her teen years, she spearheaded many projects including
community service, leadership to younger girls, fundraising, and even
trips to foreign countries
Steady success
Her enterprising spirit and natural leadership skills led Kathy to begin
her real estate career in 1987. The people she served loved her contagious
optimism, listening ability, quick mind, and personal commitment to their
best interests. During that first year she earned honors as “Rookie
of the Year.” Since then she has received a steady stream
of awards, including membership in the RE/MAX® elite Chairman’s
Club, placing her in the top echelon of real estate agents nationally.
Kathy’s client service philosophy was recently featured in Success
Stories – Celebrating the People and the Spirit of the World’s
Most Successful Real Estate Network. This book profiles the personal
success stories and business philosophy of a very small group of “best
of the best” RE/MAX real estate agents, selected from among the
entire worldwide RE/MAX network.
“I feel like I’ve known you for years!”
Over the years she and her team have refined those natural talents, creating
a real estate experience that supports people with excellence during one
of the most important transactions of their life. Clients frequently comment
on the trust and confidence they feel after working with Kathy, often
summarized with the observation, “I feel like I’ve know you
for years!”

Quick View on Amy: Sparkling personality, genuinely service oriented, and always upbeat.
“Greatest Generation Influence”
Have you ever met someone whose good nature, positive disposition, and
wonderful personality all work together so well you find yourself saying, “What
a terrific person!”
That’s Amy!
She is a “natural” in her team role, but her exceptional
interpersonal skills did not happen without a “life story” that
cultivated and refined these abilities. Growing up in a large and loving
family, Amy received the benefit of parental figures that deeply shaped
her sense of service and empathy.
“My Dad is amazing! I attribute my people skills to his influence.” Amy
is not overstating his impact. Her father “wrote the book” on
customer service. He was an iconic figure in the Metro area retail industry,
as well as one of the “Greatest generation” veterans who served
during WWII.
"I can be who I really am!"
After four years at George Mason University as a Political Science major,
Amy married, and moved to Florida, where she lived for several years.
During an earlier part of her career, she worked in the radio and newspaper
industries, where she enhanced her impressive communication skills. She
gets to use these capabilities often in her current role in serving the
team’s clients.
“I certainly enjoy the challenge of striving to do everything we
do on the team with excellence, and the various technology systems we use” says
Amy “but the greatest satisfaction is in how we treat people with
such care and respect. These are my personal values, so I can be who I
really am.”
Providence prepares us
As Client Care Manager, Amy serves as Kathy’s personal assistant in
managing the many details and systems that support a positive end-result for
each client. Having someone to serve full-time in this role may not be typical
in the real estate industry, but it is vital to achieve the level of quality
that Kathy and the team want for each person they are privileged to serve.
“Providence has a way of preparing us for our next ‘life assignment,’ I
think much of my previous experience, as well as my natural talents, are just
right for the work I do on the team,” comments Amy. We think our clients
would agree!

Quick view on Fran: Interpersonally skilled, intellectually
creative, and a strategic thinker.
Providential meeting
Fran grew up in Philadelphia and as a result has never entirely outgrown
his love of Philly Cheese Steaks. Pursuing his college education, Fran
met up with his future wife one providential day as he observed this tall,
attractive blond co-ed glide down the campus water slide. Overcoming the
normal male fear of total rejection, he introduced himself, and was promptly
captivated by the engaging freshman from Wisconsin, who later became his
wife. He never dreamed she would be a real estate star, but as mentioned,
the meeting was providential. Fran and Kathy have been married ever since
they “tied the knot” in 1974 and their two daughters have
rounded out the family since that time.
Human behavior at work
At a young age Fran became deeply interested in understanding the dynamics
of human behavior. In addition to a lifelong interest in music and drumming,
his professional life took him in the direction of applied behavioral
science. Fran’s life work has been as an Organization Development
consultant. He has worked with organizations of every size, leading projects
in the areas of strategic planning, leadership and management education,
team building, and organizational change. He holds a doctorate in Human
Resource Development from The George Washington University and is founder
of the Center for Leadership and Strategy Implementation LLC.
A unique partnership
Fran and Kathy have a unique married couple partnership. Kathy works directly
with all clients, providing highly personal and seasoned knowledge throughout
the entire home buying and selling process. Fran works behind the scenes
as Coach and Consultant to the Team. Together with other team members
they are always crafting projects and systems to keep the Team at the
leading edge of residential real estate service.
Quick view on Tim: Immediately likeable, resourceful in all situations, and a great sense
of humor.
From Long Island to Caribbean Island
From a young age, travel and adventure have been a part of Tim’s
life. His parents moved from New York City to the island of Antigua
to open and run a beach hotel when he was just 9 years old. With
more than a few struggles and a never-ending stream of “island challenges”
they stayed the course, and eventually established a successful hotel.
“Learn whatever you can learn!”
Tim attributes his natural problem-solving ability to the lessons he learned
in dealing with the many challenges of island living: “Growing up
in the hospitality business, and on an island, we always had things to
fix. My parents encouraged me to learn as much as I could. My Dad would
frequently admonish me to ‘learn whatever you can learn…you
never know when you will need it!’ I think their lessons stuck with
me.”
Combining Technical and Artistic
Returning to the US to pursue his education, Tim completed his
BA in Communications at Boston University. During his college years
and beyond, Tim’s aptitude around computers and Information Technology
led to a variety of positions in the IT profession. Combining his
technical skills with a love of art and design, Tim began Mahalo Design
in 2001, his own graphic arts and web design company. As a member
of the Kathy O’Neal Team he works “behind the scenes”
on the IT systems, web-based Visual Tours, publications, and other processes
that support great service. As Tim says, “This is one dynamic
team! We are always actively working on ways to improve the quality
and value of what we provide to the clients. It is a motivating
environment.”
